This is a selection of my photographs for the record breaking aspect of the Summer Project...
I had several idea's for the camera manual, therefore I ended up working on two designs and deciding which I thought was most successful after they were made. The first of my idea's was to produce the manual on an old film canister. Visually I loved this, I thought it was quirky yet attractive, however it wasn't altogether practical and I struggled fitting the sheer quantity of text onto the small/thin film reel. I would have ended up having to edit the text so much (to fit it onto the reel) that it would have no longer been understandable and simple to follow.
The idea was that the film reel would be easily pulled out and then when finished, pulled back into the canister by turning the dial on top.
My other design was much simpler and easier to follow, and this was the one I ended up using for the final product.
